High Blood Pressure: Screening in Children and Adolescents
Description of Resource:
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for primary hypertension in asymptomatic children and adolescents to prevent subsequent cardiovascular disease in childhood or adulthood. This is an I statement, which means evidence is lacking, of poor quality, or conflicting, and the balance of benefits and harms cannot be determined.
