Dental Caries (Cavities): Community Water Fluoridation

Description of Resource:
The Community Preventive Services Task Force recommends community water fluoridation to reduce dental caries (tooth decay) across populations. Evidence shows the prevalence of caries is substantially lower in communities with community water fluoridation, and there is no evidence that community water fluoridation results in severe dental fluorosis.
