Description of Resource:
HRSA's Health Professions programs provide policy leadership and grant support for health professions workforce development—making sure the US has the right clinicians, with the right skills, working where they are needed. HRSA's health professions programs are designed to address health professional shortages throughout the country. These programs, which include a wide-range of training programs, scholarships, loans, and loan repayments for health professions students and practitioners, are essential to producing health professionals who provide high quality, culturally competent health care. The general Health Professions website provides the community and stakeholders with additional links to a variety of resources focused on workforce issues. HRSA?s National Center for Health Workforce Analysis provides multiple resources and data on the U.S. provider workforce. These resources may be utilized by stakeholders in understanding projected shortages and other trends that influence the adequacy of the U.S. health care system to meet current and future access needs.
