Public comment is an essential part of the Healthy People process. From the first phase of planning for Healthy People 2020, your comments have helped to shape the framework, objectives, and targets of the initiative.
Current Round of Public Comment
The current round of public comment will be open from October 6 through October 27, 2016. During this period, the Healthy People team would like your input on a proposed new objective for the HIV topic area.
The proposed objective was developed by the HIV workgroup, which is led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). It has been reviewed by the Healthy People 2020 Federal Interagency Workgroup (FIW), and we’re presenting it now for your review and comment.
All comments received during the public comment period will be carefully reviewed by the HIV workgroup, the Healthy People 2020 FIW, and other Healthy People 2020 stakeholders.
Please comment only on the proposed objective:
The current round of public comment is limited to this specific HIV objective. At this point, the Healthy People 2020 team is no longer accepting proposals for additional objectives to be included in Healthy People 2020. As we look toward the next decade, we will periodically request public comments on the development of Healthy People 2030—so be sure to look for those announcements on HealthyPeople.gov and through the Federal Register.
To participate in public comment:
Please register or log in from October 6 through October 27 at 5:00 p.m. ET to add your comment. Note that you will be able to review comments without registering.
