Draft Principles for Prioritization
- Need framework/logic model
- Need specified objectives
- Improve population health and reduce disparities
- Need measures usable across multiple domains
- Need to consider costs
- Net health benefits may provide useful framework
- Uncertainty should influence priority
- Information to guide future priorities is valuable
- Can't prioritize interventions but can provide tools/process
- Prioritization at multiple levels of action (national/state/local)
- Prioritize objectives vs. interventions as appropriate
- Need transparency
- Past objectives/barriers/experience should inform priorities
