SHEILA N. HAIRSTON
BIOGRAPHY

 

Sheila N. Hairston is the host of “Say It Loud,” a weekly radio talk show that airs on Boston’s WILD-AM 1090. Ms. Hairston has an extensive background in television journalism, including 8 years as a producer at WGBH-TV for the programs NOVA and Frontline. Her most recent awards include the 1996 National News and Documentary Emmy Award and the Alfred I. du Pont-Columbia University Gold Baton Award as Field Producer for the Frontline program “Secret Daughter.” In 1992, she received the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award/First Prize Television as Field Producer for the Frontline program “A Kid Kills.”

Ms. Hairston is a lifelong resident of Brookline. She received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University and is currently working toward a master’s in Marketing at Harvard University.
