Have you ever been told by a doctor or other health professional that you had cataracts?
Persons who responded “yes” to the two Numerator questions met the (self-reporting) criteria for this objective.
This Indicator uses Age-Adjustment Groups:
Any change to the objective text, baseline, target, target-setting method or data source since the Healthy People 2020 launch.
In 2012, the original baseline was revised from 109.6 to 110.0 per 1,000 due to data source methodology changes in sample adult weights. The target was adjusted from 98.6 to 99.0 per 1,000 to reflect the revised baseline using the original target-setting method.
