Evidence & Target-Setting

Develop transparent processes for target-setting that communities can use to set their own objectives.

Incorporate evidence-based practices to improve health at the population level.
Data & IT Issues

Interface with NCHS to determine their needs and capabilities.

Determine issues related to working with partners for data and the role of Health IT, including:

  • Key needs and capabilities
  • The importance of incorporating data from other sectors, and suggesting what tools can be used to mine those for health implications, and
  • How the broad national approach to IT can be integrated with and support achievement of the Healthy People 2020 goals and objectives.
